Tusker Suicide Gank Day

Damn it just ticked over to midnight. All my corpmates are offline and the thought of probing anymore systems is too horrible to contemplate. Suleiman Shouaa announces that the Tuskers are starting another suicide gank day. I jump in a Stiletto and make the trek down to Verge Vendor through highsec (always fun navigating high when flashy).

Jufivette was the form up, free suicide Thrashers and Catalysts were passed out and we got to work finding gank targets.

A missioning Tengu is probed and a swarm of Thrashers descend upon it.

Then in local:

[16:40:57] Message > Pirates have emerged from the shadows!

[16:41:56] x220 > FUCK YOU ALL.

Fleet coms breaks down in laughter, perfect timing between the mission spawn and the gank.

Everyone scarpers back to station to wait out the global criminal flag.

Following soon after a Nightmare, Tengu and Basilisk are spotted running a mission together. Swiftly they are probed and another gang of Thrashers drop into the mission.

Then in local:

[17:15:46] Message > A nearby pirate gang has arrived to reinforce the blockade!

Immersive PVE content.

A bit later we bag another Tengu.

Here are some comments from the local carebear population.

[18:06:31] TLH Esubria > holy crap, what happened here

[18:07:52] myriad steiner > concord call for reinforcements when enough but pirates are in the system

[18:20:08] Nekmet Awai > That is a lovely ball of concord.

[20:20:24] Peanyra > they want to gang me in mission
[20:20:40] Peanyra > but concord destroyed all ships
[20:21:16] Peanyra > its not save here even more
[20:21:39] Sc00bs > its not safe anywhere

Feeling bored I try some local banter to goad a response.

[20:10:18] Drama Rocarion > fucking pirates
[20:10:24] Drama Rocarion > did anyone get ganked?
[20:12:17] Sc00bs > not that i know of but you look like you gots a bounty
[20:14:27] Drama Rocarion > /emote shrugs
[20:14:32] Drama Rocarion > you have a bounty as well
[20:14:52] Sc00bs > sadly i am not the pirate
[20:15:05] Sc00bs > ogb for my miner

(I put a 5 million bounty on him for the lols)

Logging onto my alt the next day I am greeted by the message:

Bounty placed on you
From: CONCORD
Sent: 2013.04.21 20:25

Sc00bs placed 500,000,000 ISK in bounty on your head.

Riiiiight ok then. I guess a 5 million ISK bounty makes miners mad.

/shrugs

Overall it was a very fun morning :)

Thats a PVE fit Machariel.....right?

I will let you in a on a little secret. I'm quite fond of carebearing. Sometimes, I like nothing better than to kick back and run some Angel plexs, level 4's and so on. It's a nice relaxing counterpoint to the frantic action of PVP.

Since moving to Molden Heath, I've developed a taste for those shiny modules that drop from the various Angel plexs (4 billion in sell orders in Jita! Buy my shit you stupid fucks! Ahem, moving on then).

A quick probe of Bosena revealed an Angel Outpost. Now these are the shitty plexs that I normally avoid unless bored. Since my PVP Tengu has low DPS I took the Machariel out for a spin. This baby brings the DPS (Yes I know I should not fly something this shiny without proper skills and implants. I plan to train Minmatar BS V soon).

As I'm happily blasting through hapless Angel rats a Tengu pops up on D-scan and is soon followed by combat probes. I frantically warp to station (I changed the PVP fit out for extra tank) and refit back to the normal PVP fit. I warp back and get back to acting like a clueless carebear.

Moments later a Tengu decloaks and points me. I return the favour and apply some heavy neutage along with RF EMP rounds. Heaven forbid it's not a 100MN Tengu! Eventually he pops with me in only 70% shields. GF's are exchanged in local and the loot is scooped. Turns out the bounty from the kill was better than the loot drop from the plex and it's escalation lol.

This marks my first proper PVP kill in a Machariel. Next time I have some spare ISK I'll refit her to a proper active tanked setup (another shiny killmail waiting to happen).

A Machariel in it's natural habitat - The Level 4 Mission. Not seen: a multitude of innocent, murdered Angel ships.

Tusker Frigate Free For All 3

Credit for the image goes to Rixx Javix

More info can be found here on the Tusker Forums.

Survival tips:

Use a cheap clone. There is a no podding rule....but accidents will happen/randoms will crash the party/smartbombing battleships might show up etc etc.....

Set your medical clone to a station near the event (FFA location TBA).

You will lose ships.

You will get on a lot of kill mails.

Kitey, long range setups work very well in this sort of combat enviroment (Cough light missile condor cough).

Bring extra ships (Tuskers will be handing out some free ships).

Have fun and don't get mad if you get killed. Re-ship and get back out there :)

T is for Tengu

Over the last month I've been spending a great deal of time in my third 100MN AB Tengu. This baby is expensive. But holy crap! She is sweet to fly! Only problem is she turns like a fucking freight train.

I recently moved back to Molden Heath and joined "the humbless crew", one of the local pirate corps. After all my time spent in Gallente space, the Minmatar nebula are something I never really noticed before. So, I took a bunch of screenshots. Enjoy.

I love that even after nearly 3 years of playing this game that there are still times I sit back and think "Fuck me sideways, that looks cool!"
