Roaming Placid, Cloud Ring and Black Rise

Scalding Pass and Curse are very quiet in the AU TZ. So I've been hanging out in FW space around Placid and Essence. The rebalanced Navy BCs are proving to be a joy to fly. Me and Diz had a great brawl Vs Pandemic Horde with double Navy Canes. They had some more random DPS and a Falcon who was a massive pain. We bailed once Diz ran out of cap charges (he got 3 reloads off on the XLASB) and a suspicous looking PL Prophecy showed up at a pounce. Very fun engagement (I was being a special snowflake flying a dual rep MJD Fleet Cane).

Cruising into Blackrise we start playing with a 6000 m/s Garmur near a gate. One thing leads to another and the FW guys steadily pile up. I manage to snag a Slicer, take sentries and MJD to freedom in structure. Diz almost gets out but get snagged and popped.

Diz heads for a reship as I flee the FW Garmurs. But they give up after I MJD away the second time. I love that module. Then I attract the attention of a linked Orthrus....le sigh. Even with my own links the Fleet Cane can't match the speed of Mr Orthrus. I sing out on comms and Diz reships his alt and heads back. I act coy on station before warping to a gate. The Orthrus follows, I engage and get grabbed with a 21KM scram, Diz jumps in and the Orthrus gets a Navy Vexor to the face. After scooping the loot I get ready to jump out and a Curse shows up on field. Quick hop through the gate to check for backup...nothing...ok then. I jump back in, burn for the Curse and manage to land a scram before getting capped out. Heat the injector and micro that scram. Diz jumps back in and we secure another kill. Dude was going full tilt I think.

Down time rolls around and I find a Cruisers Crew gate camp in Osti on the Stacmon gate. I fucking hate these guys, shit talking big mouthed cowards just like Dead Terrorists. Ahem, sorry got sidetracked there. Their camp had two Svipuls, Vexor, Rail Talos (lol) and Exeq. A quick combat probe lands me on the Exeq. 5 min countdown to DT starts, Svipuls and Vexor only have long points + webs so I align, MJD towards the Talos....but he warps :(  I pull my drones in and warp as DT hits.

Next day we head out again with three extra fleet mates. Dave is coming through highsec in a Drake. So we do a quick run up to W-4 and gank a Procurer before swining back into lowsec to pick up Dave. In Vlillirererererererere (spelling?) we find an Exodus Brutix Navy and start a game of gate ping pong. Orthrus shows up and starts kiting....then gets scrammed and killed. Barghest jumps in and burns away. Navy Brutix shows up on gate again and redboxes. We light him up, more shit piles in and I go down. RHML Barghest hits like a fucking truck! Everyone else extracts without issue. I reship into a Confessor and we head back to W-4. On the way we drop a Exodus Malediction, I get the feeling its not an approved Exodus fit since it only has 4 speed mods instead of the usual 5.

W-4 yields no kills and a fair bit of posturing on station. Onto BNI staging in Kehjari...nada. Shadow Fleet rolls by but its out of our league. Aivonen is showing 45 kills in the past 3 hours on Dotlan. On the way we play another round of gate ping pong with a pair of vanilla canes. One dies, we lose Allo and the other MJDs to freedom.

We reach Aivonen, Brawl calls point on a Brutix Navy in a large plex. We all pile in and shit goes south rapidly. Brawl and Dave go down, Diz manages to warp out leaving me alone on the field. Only problem is I've got a Keres glued to my ass long pointing + damping me. My 10MN AB Confessor can do 3041 m/s in speed mode with links. But the Keres is pulling an easy 4000m/s and damping me down to 30KM lock range. All his buddies are in hot pursuit so I heat the AB to try and pull some range. Still can't shoot anything. Ummmmmm ok, lets try and break the grid. The chase continues, I burn all my SAAR charges before pulling range and getting off a SAAR reload. Their dps pulls in close again, I get dropped into about 30% structure before managin to claw back some armor. At this point my SAAR charges are depleted and juggling cap between trying to get reps and taking shots at frigs in range. A beam Slicer starts laying some serious hurt on me. I start doing small course adjustments to try and mitigate dps (also doing my best not to shed to much speed). The Slicer drops back, a Tristan takes his place, I start trying to pop drones...suddenly the Keres point drops and I warp out. 1200KM burn!. I breakdown and start screaming about "mother effing Keres pilots" on TS. Gotta bleed of that tension lol, I did manage to kill a single Slasher.

Those are some toasty midslots!

I know thats a pretty big wall of text just to describe an escape. But it was one of those rare moments where I actually made good piloting choices instead of freaking out. Also the amount of overheating the T3 dessies can handle is amazing!

Of course, good piloting is always followed by dying in a really dumb fashion.
Diz arrives on field just as I pop. He then proceded to kill all of them lol.
Defo buying a Navy Harb soon :)

Shadow Paquito Rage

So I was derping around Aeschee in my Fleet Cane. Warp to the outgate and find Proteus + Orthrus waiting. Orthrus jumps through.....so I align off and warp to a station npnpnp. Push my scout through and yep Orthrus is waiting on the otherside (he cloaked on the gate!). Quick refit for cloak and stabs and back to the gate. Proteus jumps with me.

MWD, align, cloak...decloak and warp to freedom. Then in local:

[14:14:24] Paquito > bahahahahahahahahahaha

[14:14:33] Paquito > shit tier

[14:14:49] Naoru Kozan > for not fighting a hard counter?

Then through my secret spy network:

[14:15:54] Paquito > he refit a cloak

[14:16:00] Paquito > like a massive shiteating coward

[14:16:07] Paquito > because he is a massive shiteating coward

So then I jump on Shadow TS, prod some other Shadow dudes to tell him to come talk to me and then get banned from their server.

Totally fucking worth it lol.

Back in Eve

So yeah, I took a 4 month break from Eve.

Why? I was bored with the meta and making no effort in pvp. I also made a video, which got some bad feedback. Typically I'm not to fussed about copping hate online. But in this case it actually struck home...thick skin blah blah blah. Going back and watching the last vid (Javelin) the dude was right. Compared to previous efforts the majority of the fights were average or outright garbage with only a few standouts. So I scrubbed the vid from youtube and deleted everything Eve related from my computer.

"Lolz, you mad bro?"

"Yeah, a bit and no you can't have my stuff."

Its a strange dichotomy making Eve pvp vids. The slightest error in piloting is highlighted and picked apart. Fights that felt epic at the time get replayed and look boring. And it can take months of bad fights to get that "HOLY FUCK THAT WAS AMAZING FIGHT!" After you realise fraps was not running haha. But the losses pile up dragging morale lower making the game seem as waste of time. At this point you can either go full whiny bittervet on the forums or just step back and take a break. I chose the latter.

So what brought me back? The battlecruiser changes. It evoked memories of tooling around in arty canes and nano drakes with The Tuskers. Ironically I haven't flown a single BC in combat since my return. But I have been steadily burning through my stockpiles of T1 cruisers (and burning through my remaining funds). I got the fire for pvp back, I've been making an active effort to come up with new fits and try new boats. Even tried flying a few brawlers to break up the whole never stop kiting thing. Dual rep dual prop Cynabal, dual rep Vigilant and shitty brawling Thoraxs just to name a few lol.

I've also been doing some proper solo piloting leaving the links at home. Arty Thrasher has been getting some solid results (fragged two Jackdaws and a bunch of T1 garbage). I think its an important thing to do as links become a crutch for lazy piloting. Just like ECM, logistics and excessive numbers. Not having fits that rely on links to be effective is a priority. "Brain In The Box" may actually see light of day sometime in the next 6 months/3-5 years lol. So a link rework is probably on the cards.

Odds are I will do another vid. I'm really looking foward to trying out the new BCs. Fleet Cane looks dope as fuck.

Until next time.

How long is to long?

Damn it has been a while!

Ok, so after narrowly missing a missioning Ishtar in Bosena I noticed he docked up in station. I logged Naoru out on his mission, logged all alts who were active after I probed the guy and logged in another alt to watch for him undocking.

Two hours of Youtube vids and housework later he undocks and warps back to his mission. I log Naoru back in, land on top of the Ishtar and secure the kill.

The kill itself is nothing impressive, but I recieved some great hatemail from it.

5ZXX-K Holiday

So on a random fit of whimsy I decided to go farm some Mordus missions and farm the Mordus mission runners in 5ZXX-K. To be honest, I was expecting hell camps, blobs galore and full on combat.

Turns out the system was quiet as hell.

Mordus Angels are on deployment to Delve. All that remained were the dregs, scrubs and carebears. A group of rusrus Goons also hangs out in system, Raging Ducks/OEG. I had a few skirmishes with them and suprisingly they were extremely competent and PVP. I lost a Nomen and Gila due to bad piloting and severly underestimating the Goons. Hats off to them, flying against aggressive and competent pvpers pushes me to fly and fight harder. Easy ganks/kills make pilots lazy lol.

Carebear kills.....I tagged a lot of them lol.

Final tally was:

6 Tengu's

9 Ishtar's

1 Gila

Also had some fun skirmishes in my Orthrus (came close to losing it about 3 times).

I did manage to get some mission running done. I pulled about 250,000 LP and cashed it out in Garmur BPCs. Mission running is something I can only handle in small bursts and after one intense farming I scooted back to Bosena in Molden Heath.

This is what my carriers hold looked like.

Profitable few days. Mods all came from mission runner kills lol.

Orthrus in 78R-PI

Kronos is out and with it came shiney new toys. I had no luck ratting for the Mordus cruiser...but Diz was great and sold me a BPC for 300 mil. After piling on some expensive faction and dead space mods I proceeded to do my best to lose it.

All I can say is...HOLY FUCK BALLS BATMAN! This ship is fucking crazy!

Comments from various capsuleers:

[13:41:31] nGu RaZaq > how the fuck 3000ms/s, 20km scram and 50km point

[13:24:52] nGu RaZaq > dis shit is fuckin op ^^

[15:12:53] Ecalta > ORTHRUS WTF

[14:53:40] oUTSKIRTs > go away :)
[14:53:43] Naoru Kozan > ok
[14:53:44] oUTSKIRTs > lol

After a near death to a NC. Crow blob I frantically fled to the depths of Tennerifis. Guess I hit adrenaline overload lol. After a brief break I started the long trek back to Bosena.

Orthrus is bloody fun but odds are itwill get nerfed. Tis fucking OP in it's current form.

Anywho, screenshots!

Close escape

After a quick dance with TEXN and DNS in Atlar me and Floorist decide to disengage as numbers start piling up on the hostile side. I bounce to station and then to the Illamur gate (gotta love a warpspeed rigged nano Cruise Typhoon).

Jumping into the normally dead system I find a 25 man gang sitting on the gate......oh dear.

Ok, nothing is in scram range (regional gate FTW), align station and heat the MWD. Long pointed, webbed, neuted and jammed....hit the MJD. MJD cycles as one cruiser pulls within 16KM.

Damn that was close! Had to get up and take a walk around the house to relax afterwards.

2000KM Burn

We were doing our normal thing of protecting carebears from potential ship loss in DED sites (ganking them and stealing the site). A wormhole to Geminate yielded a bunch of German Ishtars, Tengu and Scimitar running an 8/10. Me and Kaeda invade the plex with a Tengu and Ishtar but only manage to snag the Scimitar. An Astero pops up on short scan and a quick bounce yields an easy kill.

We start clearing the 8/10 while pinging D-scan, but at first the locals don't seem to inclined to come in again. Kaeda warps off to guide Kooba in through the wormhole. Then more and more ships start appearing on D-scan. Lots and lots of ships....ok time to leave.

I hit the worm hole and jump past a Sleipnir and Stiletto....they follow me through and the Stiletto points me. Turns out links are not in the correct squad...fuck. After freaking out and yelling on comms I frantically juggle Erstel into squad booster position as more and more shit piles through the worm hole. Problem is the fleet is bugged and I can't move him. I frantically form a new fleet and finally get links setup.

What followed was a Benny Hill chase extending over 2000KM. This is what they had on grid for the majority of the fight.

Basically, they couldn't catch up with my Tengu to land webs and I couldn't kill their inties with the logi on field. Once the fight stabilised, I attempted to push the pair of Stilettos off with timed overheating of the web and afterburner to no avail. Eventually I calm down and start talking on comms again. Once the fleet is setup properly Kaeda is able to warp in his Ishtar to assist. But since the fight is moving at 3000 m/s the drones are having trouble applying damage. Kaeda reships into a LML Heretic and we finally manage to push one Stiletto off in hull. The other Stiletto lags behind, drops point and I finally hear the sweet sound of "Warp Drive Active". Kaeda gets briefly tackled but managed to make it out in structure.

/me takes a deep breath

Holy fuck that was intense.

"14:12 Long Haul" has lived for nearly 3 months now. Fuck I probably just jinxed it and will lose her in the next fight lol.

EDIT - 04/05/2014
Yep, jinxed it. Tengu died to a Blops hotdrop the next day lol.

Biomass IRL (ingame)

"gf"

Often tossed around as a gesture of respect to an opponent after a close, tense fight. Also tossed around after ganking or getting ganked. It can, on occasion, provoke a strong response.

Probed out a Navy Caracal running a 6/10 in Taisy, point was established and the ship is dispatched.

[06:00:35] Naoru Kozan > gf

[06:00:46] Hattori Hakaari > Go fuck yourself and shove that GF up your fucking ass.

[06:01:41] Naoru Kozan > (((

[06:02:32] Hattori Hakaari > I don't know why douchebags like you say GF when you pounce on someone who's in deadspace already engaged with multiple ships. Big fucking accomplishment getting that kill you fucking tool.

[06:03:03] Naoru Kozan > woah, lets just chill the hell out here man!

[06:03:27] Hattori Hakaari > How about I wish real life death on mother via rape-induced aids.

[06:04:00] Naoru Kozan > that is not a very nice thing to say\

[06:04:23] Hattori Hakaari > Good. I hope it actually happens.

[06:05:12] Naoru Kozan > carebears seem to harbour some SERIOUS anger issues

Deeply distraught by such abuse I consoled myself by quickly finishing his plex. It was a 77 mil drop. But I decided to be nice and inform Mr Hakaari of the drop.

To: Hattori Hakaari,

I was deeply hurt and offended by your tirade in Taisy local.

However, the 6/10 dropped a  Pithum A-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field +  Pithum A-Type Explosive Deflection Amplifier +  19th Tier Overseer's Personal Effects which made me feel a lot happier.

Fly safe and good luck on your journey through New Eden.

Holiday in Maila

Incursion in the Istodard pocket, Bosena was quiet and the Angel DED plexs were simply not dropping any decent loot. Hmmmmmm...time to go on a holiday to Maila for some killboard stat padding (cyno killing spree).

Pvp highlights:

Ishtar vs Falcon, random frigs and Myrm gate camping.
Russians camping a gate so I do the logical thing and go for the Falcon sitting 100KM off. I burn over drop Bouncers, point up the Falcon and take sentries. Falcon manages to land one succesful jam, I get point back and he pops, a Manticore gets splattered. This was followed by a frantic burn away trying to shake off tackle ceptors as two more Falcons decloak >_> Eventually, I manage to break free and warp in 30% shields.

Tengu vs Myrm, Falcon and something else hugging station.
I warp in, lock up the Falcon, point him and take sentries (again). Falcon tries to jam me and fails. Tengu sensor strength + Sensor Integrity link = hard to jam and the poor Falcon dies.

Tengu vs perma-tackling linked Ares + random warp ins.
Probed out a 5/10 plex in Messoya and begin clearing it with Naoru + Rusu. I clear up to the second room and the locals decide they want to play. I warp Rusu out and dock her up. In comes an Ares and Stiletto, oh they have skirmish links, I get pointed and drag them 150KM or so off the beacon. My javelin missiles are barely scratching the Ares. Their backup arrives in the form of a Curse, Rapier and a Hurricane (was a long fight so not 100% sure if a cane was there). I start diving in and out trying to entice the Rapier away from his friends. But they stick together and after giving chase for a bit (they were a bit slower than my Tengu) they decide to warp off. Leaving me tackled by the Letto and Ares.
Meanwhile, I burn Rusu back to Maila and reship her into a Geddon. A Crow enters the plex and settles into a wide orbit /sighs. Rusu hits local and I drag the inties back to the warp gate. Rusu lands on the beacon, Ares catchs 2 heavy neuts and they all decide to bail.
Back to running the plex. Ares pops back on scan, re-enters the plex and points me again. Same thing again, drag him off the beacon and wait to see what they bring. 2 Geddons and 2 Guardians pop up on scan. But for some reason only 1 Geddon comes into the plex along with the Guardians. Geddon just hugs the beacon and then decides to warp off. I dive in and point a Guardian and start asking for help on TS. No one is available to assist :(
Rapier and Loki appear on d-scan so I frantically pull range to around 200KM. Rapier + Loki land, Loki cloaks up (huh?). Meanwhile, Rusu has been burning to the nearest market hub to assemble a scram Atron to get rid of this fucking Ares. Ship assembled and she makes best speed for Messoya.
Rusu finally arrives in system and makes it into the plex with no drama. Another Loki arrives to reinforce the Rapier, Loki and 2 Guardians.
The Ares is orbiting at 6000 m/s and Rusu can only hit 5700 m/s (I also had skirmish links). It takes a few tries but I finally manage to scram the Ares. The Rapier + Loki's start crawling out but they are slow as all fuck and the Guardians are AB fit. The Ares finally dies. There is a brief bit of dancing to try and split the Rapier away from his friends. No dice and they all warp out.
I cut the AB, start repairing heat damage and take a deep breath. The plex beacon is 500KM away. It almost seems anticlimatic to only get one kill after such a long fight.
I finish up the 5/10 but it only drops 200 mil worth of loot :(

Vagabond vs Dramiel and 3 Talos
Turns out a Vagas guns won't track a Dram in a tight orbit and Talos can hit juuuuust fine from 40KM away. Splat!

Tengu vs various Vagabonds
Yes my pretty, follow me away from your fleet mates. First kill, DCed Talos and the second Vaga (The vagas were seperate fights).

Tengu vs ishtar
Probed out a missioning Tengu + Ferox, but they bail. Then an Ishtar lands right on top of me...ok then.

Ishtar vs Machariel, Brutix and a lot of recons.
Deaded there was also another Rook, Rapier and Falcon not on the mail (thought the legion of death Machariel was not with the EMP guys, turns out they are blue lol).

Various ships vs cyno boats.
To much effort to link all those kills. A rough count according to z-kill gives 40 cyno kills.

PVE highlights:

The blueprints bring the total to about 2.5 bil isk.

So all in all, its been a fun holiday so far :)

Blog Banter 51: The Shakes

EVE Online can be a game of heart-pounding, palm-sweating, adrenaline-fuelled ecstasy or agony. Sometimes over the years those reactions dim and what was once a panic inducing situation becomes commonplace routine. For some, the shakes never go away.

From Druur Monakh (Twitter: @DruurMonakh) we get the topic of this banter: what was your most nail-biting experience in EVE Online so far? It could be PvP in a 1v1 or 1000v1000, your first fight or your latest one, a scam so close to being uncovered too soon, a trap almost sprung on an unsuspecting victim or the roles reversed and you desperately try to escape.

Coming in a little late with this one. After nearly 3 years of combat, the shakes don't come so often anymore. Back when I was a bright eyed newbie flying Rifters I managed to kill a Harpy during a wardec and died to his fleetmates moments after. I came away from this fight buzzing with excitement. But like any "high" the body builds up a tolerance and the effects diminish. Frigate 1v1's no longer deliver that massive kick. So I upped the dose (Huh? Fucking drug addict!). Which means flying larger, more expensive hulls against multiple opponents (this has met with mixed results lol).

Sooo, since I had trouble coming up with a single fight I decided to share 3 experiences that happened over the last 5 months.

That is a 1.3 bil ISK 100MN HAM Tengu (no damage control) in 30% armor after a fight with a small gang. Bloody arty Cynabal was putting massive holes in me. I had to get up and walk around my room until the shakes/almost breaking down and crying subsided.

Next up: finishing up the final stage of an Angel escalation in Geminate in a pvp Ishtar. The site is probed out and a Loki warps in. I think: "Single Loki, heh I can take this easily". Single Loki turns out to be part of an 8 man gang with logisitics + recons. I barely manage to escape as they all land. After bouncing safes, I warp back to the site, kill the structure and scoop 800 mil of deadspace mods. The gangs Sabre lands 15KM away as I am warping out. They doggedly give chase and after nearly getting caught jumping a gate, I decide to safe up, wait out the aggression timer and log out. Shiny loot in the hold REALLY adds to the experience.

Fight starts at 41:30 in. Blogger wouldn't let me start the video at that point for some stupid reason. Fight is me flying a RLML Caracal vs a Harb and Falcon. Through a mixture of ok piloting and dumb luck I manage to kill the Falcon. I nearly killed the Harb, but decided to brawl him and promptly died lol. Regardless of the outcome it was a bloody fun fight that had me smiling for days after :)

KW-I6T....I was sort of there

So after dragging my ass out of bed, booting up the PC and jumping onto EVE. Turns out there was a massive fight going down in KW-I6T. Since I've never actually seen a super cap fight up close...hmmmm only 33 jumps away...lets go.

Moving through highsec with a positive sec status is soooo much easier! No navy chasing me and no worrying about getting nabbed by fast locking high scrubs. Still feels strange moving around in highsec. Odds are I will get bored and trash my sec status again soon. But I am getting sidetracked.

Entering Catch through Providence was fun. Thankfully the camps were simple enough to run. One jump out from KW- I land in a bubble and get tackled by a Taranis. He was bad at piloting and dies quickly. Couple of random pods jump in and get popped.

Jumping the gate into KW- lands me in 10% TIDI. Holy fuck, modules were activating slowly, the warp to the station took ages. Upon landing I catch a random bomb and get dropped into low structure. So I begin the slow burn to the Titan and manage to get a few rep cycles. Pretty screen shots below:

I managed to do a drive by and whore on the Titan followed by the server locking up and my Slicer was stuck burning until I got disconnected. Reconnecting again the server was still not responding, so I alt+tabbed for a few rounds of Warthunder (love the Beaufighter). Then the server crashed again saving the Titan. Awwwwwww.

Logging back in I tried to dive in to tag a Sabre and got instagibbed by a Munin.

Ah well lol.

The sheer scale of the fight was amazing. Seeing all that hardware up close and in combat was a sight to behold. But it was kind of spoiled by the crushing TIDI. To be honest I don't really see what the big deal about large scale null fleet combat.

Also mad props to CCP for their progress with holding the servers together when these massive fights break out. All the whiners and tinfoil hatters should remember that no other game offers fights on this scale.

Very cool experience overall :)

Syndicate Deployment

Calmitous Intent started their Syndicate deployment at the beginning of October and invited THC2 to come along. A few THC guys moved down and fuck me sideways, it's been a fucking blast!
On a sad note, THC2 pretty much died during this time. People were not logging on, Diz was getting massively frustrated trying to motivate people and decided to join 7-2. Fast foward a week and most of the active THC2 people have moved over as well. I joined yesterday after a fair bit of pondering about what to do next. I briefly toyed with the idea of rejoining Tuskers or maybe Shadow Cartel. Decided to go with 7-2 since I know a bunch of people in there and have been actively flying with them for the last few months. Always sad when a really cool corp dies off   o7 o7 o7

So, Vindicator BPCs...yum. I came for the PVP, but have ended up spending a lot of time running DED plexs. Strangely enough a Tengu and Ishtar looks like a pure carebear setup. So while running my first 8/10 I was interupted by the locals probing me out and invading the plex. What followed was about 45 minutes of combat (I also managed to lose my alts PVE Ishtar like a fucking boss lol. The last room in the 8/10 is nasty for lightly tanked ships).

Speaking of Vindicators. Webless Rail Vindicator..../facepalm.

I've also been playing with the sentry Ishtar. Holy shit this ship is broken. So I jumped my Ishtar into a FIGL gate camp, started kiting and the grid broke lol. A quick rewarp dropped me back on the gate but not before my Gardes killed their light tackle. A Cynabal escaped in low shields because of EC-300s and Diz + Robinton arrived just in time to whore on the last Caracal.

This 3 way with Rote Kappele and E-uni. This was also my first time flying a fleet interceptor properly. Holy hell it's and adrenaline rush.

Round 3 vs E-uni after we lost some expensive shit. Fun fight regardless.

The expensive ship hanger cleanout has been progressing rapidly.

The Typhoon "Bad Call" finally died after 49 days alive (according to insurance). She survived a tons of close calls and killed heaps. RIP in pieces.

Arty MAAR Cynabal didn't really work out for me. I just seem to have terrible with that ship. I've heard that some other people have had better luck with that fit /shrugs.

Don't fight e-uni while drunk and mad. In fact, if you lose your cool just log off EVE and go do something else lol.

Two weeks left on the Syndicate deployment and it's been an eventful month.

A side effect of tons of plexing and null combat is a -3.63 sec status. I might even go poke my head into highsec once it's over O.o

Gold Magnate huh?

So CCP is toying with the idea of raffling off a Gold Magnate and a few Guardian Vexors throught Somer Blink.
Predictably, the EVE forums are full of crying about how CCP is wrecking the game.

...

Seriously?

My personal position: Zero Fucks Given, Mate.

I really wonder about EVE players sometimes. I think a majority just like to complain for the sake of complaining.

Ooooh Cyno! Better warp to that....

.....huh Archon. Wait there is no POS! Oh shit the Archon just cloaked. Quick, quick go for a decloak!

I sucessfully decloak the Archon \o/

We get point and start screaming for help on comms and in the intel channels and get one response. Shit, log in all the alts!

Backup points are established and me and LR swap out for battleships. It's fighters are popped in short order. Heavy Energy Neutralisers delicately caress the poor Archons capacitor as we start to chew through the armor.

Eventually the noble beast succumbs.

We link up the kill and start gloating on coms. Then someone comments "Hey the can is full of capital BPO's."

A brief mad scramble and the can is secured.

HOLY FUCK!

Split 4 ways that should be at least 5 bil each. Gotta actually haul this shit to market and to a proper appraisal of it's worth.

And people say you can't make any money off piracy :)

Oh, and Diz got home from work and logged in minutes after the Archon died.....heh.
